DON FROTH from San Francisco recently released the killer 10,000cc on the PHONICA RECORDS in house label. Twisted disco lovers take note - although that doesn't come close to describing this unique track.

The Big One. MARY ANNE HOBBS has not only been pushing WNCL 001 on her BBC Radio 1 Experimental show and on her recent Stateside jaunt but also asked for a 15 minute mini mix for last week's show. The underground equivalent of getting on Top of the Pops. How could I refuse?

The mix features new and forthcoming releases on the WNCL RECORDINGS label, upcoming material for other labels, remixes, dubplates and an exclusive VIP mix of WHAT IT IS.

ROCK LA BIBLIOTEK - June 26th

Back for another one. Various Bibliotek residents are holidaying and tending to new offspring, so this month we present a fresh line up for you.

CROSHAW makes a welcome return visit to warm things up with a vintage selection of jump blues and rock and roll, followed by sometime party promoter Zer0cool (aka Jamison Simmons) who will be turning things up a notch with a refusion set.

ALDWIN JOHNSON, owner of The Inspiration Suite studios and now fronting the UTOPIA SOUND SYSTEM will be treating us to a soul, funk and boogie combo from his legendary box of sevens.

CHERRIE FLAVA, buyer at SOUNDS OF THE UNIVERSE and A&R for SOUL JAZZ RECORDS is our third time special guest, embodying the spirit of the Bibliotek perfectly every time - expect Fresh Sounds and Library Archives. Also check her TING AND TING blog (link below).
